As you may or may not know, Joe and I have been full-time RVer’s for going on three years now. Woo hoo! Seems hard to believe, the time has gone by so fast! But what you may not know is that in addition to all the wonderful sights we’ve seen and people we’ve met along the way, I also picked up a few unwanted visitors. The dreaded extra pounds, poor eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle jumped onboard and had been getting a free ride.
Have any of our fellow full-timers had this problem? Or is it just me? Sometimes when the weight creeps on like that it’s easy to put off making a change … until you have a serious wake-up call.
My health and fitness wake-up call came on the morning of my 48th birthday when I realized I was way closer to the Big 5-0 then I wanted to admit. I was also nearly 50 pounds overweight, I was getting winded just taking little hikes and my self-esteem was sinking faster than the gas gauge in the truck! I knew I needed to make a change. I didn’t need a diet, I needed a lifestyle change. Thankfully, not too much after that wake-up call, I was introduced to the 21 Day Fix.
I can’t remember the last time I’ve had this much energy or felt better! In just over two and a half months I’ve lost 38 pounds and several inches! But more importantly, I’ve gained a new outlook on clean eating and fitness. I’m so excited about the 21 Day Fix I feel like I could shout about it from the roof tops!
